On Demand Interpretative Services was founded in 2010 by Colleen Mary O'Toole, who leads the ODIS team of experienced managers, interpreters and IT professionals which creates an end-to-end understanding of the urgent needs faced by courts, litigants and their support network.

Colleen O'Toole has authored over 450 cases and has presided over 1500 appeals. She held appointments to the Ohio Criminal Sentencing Commission and served as a visiting Judge on the Ohio Supreme Court. Colleen O'Toole was an active member of the Ohio Judicial Conference serving on the court technology committee, court administration committee and criminal law committee. Earlier in her career, she was in private practice where she litigated civil and criminal cases and appeals in both state and federal courts. Colleen O'Toole received her Juris Doctorate from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in Cleveland, Ohio in 1990.

ODIS is a corporate member of the National Association for Judicial Interpreters and Translators (NAJIT).

Mission Statement

"Our mission is to provide cost-effective remote stenographic and multiple-language interpretative services to ensure that all non-English, limited English speaking and ASL litigants are guaranteed their access to judgement based upon the US and state constitutions.   

We are dedicated to providing real-time court stenographers and certified/qualified on demand for more than 170 languages in the public sector settings in a cost-effective manner.  Based upon a subscription-based business model, our goal is to set the standard for the 21st century for services that will provide a more effective consistent reliable and less expensive service that satisfies all state federal and statutory requirements."
